Biography

Jesper von Wieding (b 1962) has over 25 years of graphic design experience within Corporate identity, Brand Development, Packaging Design, Fashion/lifestyle, furniture design, exhibition design and interior design.

He serves on the board of the Danish Design Association and of Creative Circle. Creative Circle is the organizer of Denmarks biggest and most significant award show within all the creative industries. Since 2007 Jesper has been selected chairman for the Design jury at the annual creative circle award.

He is sitting at various advisory boards and often invited to give lectures at design seminars and colleges in Europe and Asia.

Jesper was one of 16 designers, selected worldwide and invited by the Cannes Lions festival, to serve on its first international design jury in 2008.

Jesper is founding partners of Scandinavian DesignLab (www.scandinaviandesignlab.com). He served as it's Strategic Creative Director when Scandinavian DesignLab (SDL) achieved international acclaim and won numerous awards, including becoming the design bureau of The year in 2008 at the 2009 at the Creative Circle Award (CCA), in Denmark and receiving the Danish Design Award 2008 and 2010.

Prior to SDL, Jesper was part-owner of Scandinavian Design Group (SDG) / FutureBrand Copenhagen, serving as Strategic Creative Director. He joined Scandinavian Design Group / FutureBrand a division of IPG, as a result of selling his company, Design By®, to the network.

Jesper founded Design By® after working as design for Landor Associates in Stockholm, Landor Associates in Paris and for Michael Conan Design in San Francisco.

In 1988 Jesper and Matthias Lauk founded the Museum Of Holography & New Visual Media in Copenhagen.

He holds degrees from the California College Of Arts And Craft in San Francisco and the Danish Design School in Copenhagen.

February 1, 2010 Jesper left Scandinavian DesignLab to pursue new Challenges by establishing the company 3X a company of strategic creative Consultant's & entrepreneurs. With a unique combination of expertise that span from art, culture, design, branding, entertainment, education, publishing to food & beverage.

3X has offices in Beijing, Copenhagen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong & Kuala Lumpur.
